The twelve days of Web Marketing Christmas
12 days of online marketing
On the first day of online marketing my Internet marketer gave to me,
A partridge in a pear tree – A no.1 in google
Although it’s certainly not the only online marketing strategy there is still the power and acceptance that a high google rank will equal plenty of visitors.
Two turtle doves – 2 word keyphrases
It may seem simple but getting your key phrases right is essential, ensure you think about what your customer will be searching for.
Three French hens – Don’t forget: Yahoo, Live (msn) and Ask
Goole is not the only search engine, and search engines such as Ask are predicted to grow in use.
Four calling birds – Visitors come calling through inbound links
Gaining inbound links to your website will draw search engine spiders and people to your website.
Five golden rings – 5 social networking rings digg, myspace, Technorati, del.icio.us, reddit
Six geese a-laying – Creating (laying) new pages, blogs and articles
Making your site relevant and up-to-date is growing in importance. Add new content regularly.
Seven swans a-swimming – Focus your direction in the ocean of the web using website statistics
Eight maids a-milking – Fresh content and articles
Go to a site and see it hasn’t been updated since 2005 and you rarely stay on the site long. Think about how often fresh content is added to your website.
Nine ladies dancing – Not dropping rank in a Google dance
A google dance is when google fine tunes its code. Other search engines do these algorithm changes as well. If your website is highly ranked it is essential that a dance does not shake your ranking.
Ten lords a-leaping – Traditional advertisers leaping online
The lords of advertising and marketing are moving online. This can be seen by yell.com, all major newspapers and magazines moving online. This can benefit your website, or in some cases can negatively affect your traffic.
Eleven pipers piping – Releasing news about my company both online and offline
As the web begins to grow lets not forget offline resources. Pointing offline to online and online to offline integrating the two works for very effective strategy.
Twelve drummers drumming – To finish, the gold dust of marketing – word of mouth
Let focus on the no.1 form of marketing, offline - word of mouth, online – viral marketing
Get people talking about your website online and offline and guarantee yourself a successful business website.
